Escondido Country Club first opened for play in 1965. The course was designed by Harry and David Rainville.
Par for the course is 70. From the back tees the course plays to 6,140 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,593 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 15, a par-5 that plays to 496 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 2, a par-3 that plays to 138 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 8, a 379 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Escondido Country Club is # 14, a 148 yard par-3.
The course was closed, April, 2013. The eventual use of the land is in litigation. See the video for details.

Got a great deal on golfnow.com at the last minute (night prior). But I guess you get what you pay for. Course conditions were not that great - tee boxes weren't mowed well, the greens were very inconsistent and some were very bumpy. The layout is nothing too exciting either.

Fairways were beautiful.Greens were punched but true and still pretty fast from being punched.First time plaiying there and really enjoyed it.

One of the worst conditioned golf courses that I have played in YEARS. Gives a bad name to "Country Club". Post round service in the restraurant was abysmal.
